Underwater Bicycle Racing is all the rage in North Carolina

Every year on the 4th of July the US state of North Carolina holds the annual Underwater Bike Race.

The event takes place off the coast of Beaufort Inlet by the sunken warship the USS Indra. The competition features a prize for the best-dressed bicycle and rider. Spectators can watch the even from the surface from charter boats or they can dive in for a closer look.
